Biography

Miss Orvella E. Faber, 68, of 926 Seventh Street, Kiel died Monday morning at the home of her sister in Sheboygan, following a brief illness. She was born on August 22, 1918, in Kiel the daughter of the late Arthur and Emma Dexheimer Faber. Faber was a graduate of Kiel High School, received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was employed with the Milwaukee Recreation Department for 35 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Kiel, the Presbyterian Women and the Ruth circle. She was a life member of the State Historical Society and the Audubon Society. Miss Faber was president and an active member of the Deputy of the North American Benefit Association Unit 12; and the American Legion Auxiliary, Kiel. Miss Faber was one of the organizers of the Wisconsin scholarship awards program in North American Benefit Association. ^[1]
