Biography

Heinrich was born in 1714. He passed away in 1778.

Son of Johann Peter Feger 1691–1723 and Anna Margaretha Achilius 1686–1745

His sons Jacob, Johann Peter[1] (killed in Battle of Long Island on 26 August 1776) and Conrad, fought in the American Revolutionary War

NOTE: The following biography is on the memorial page of Heinrich's son Johann Peter Feger 1755-1776:

"Peter was one of twelve known children born to Heinrich and Susanna Margaretha Lentz Feger. His parents, and approximately four of his sibs, were born in Bavaria, Germany. Little is known about him at this point. At least six of his brothers fought in the Revolutionary War. Two, Henry[2] and Killion 1740-1776[3], were known to have been killed in the Battle of Long Island (aka The Battle of Brooklyn or Brooklyn Heights)[4]. Peter and another older brother, Caleb, are found on several ancestry pages as having been killed in this battle as well but research is ongoing, unless documentation proves otherwise, all notes so far list him as being killed during the Revolutionary War in 1776. He is documented in the records of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germantown, Pennsylvania, as being born on 8 February and baptized on 3 March 1755. His parents names are listed as well."

Research Notes

NOTE: Son "Killion/Killian may have been also known as Caleb[5]

"Heinrich Feger, a German immigrant, had five sons who served in the Revolutionary War. Three - Paul, Jacob and Conrad - are buried in old Zion Spies Cemetery. The other two - Henry and Killian - were killed in the Battle of Long Island and are buried in Brooklyn. At the family's request, the names of Henry and Killian are included on the memorial."[6]
