Biography
Birth and Origins
Patrick Playflair Fairbairn was the son of Rev Patrick Fairbairn and Mary Playflair. He was born b. 21 Sep 1840 at Saltoun, East Lothian, Scotland.[1]
Marriage and Family
First Marriage
Patrick Playflair Fairbairn married Jane Margaret McTaggart.[2] on 12 July 1866[3]
They had children:
- Mary Fairbairn b. c. 1867 British Guiana
- Patrick Fairbairn b. c. 1869 British Guiana
- Charles Fairbairn b c. 1871 d. young[4]

- Jane Fairbairn

In the 1871 Census, Jane M. (McTaggart) Fairbarin (29, wife, born Argyllshire) lived at Avon Street, Gourock, Renfrewshire, Scotland with her husband Patrick P. Fairbairn (30, West India Merchant,born Midlothian), and their children, Mary Fairbairn (3) , Patrick Fairbairn (2), and Charles Fairbairn (0), and domestic servants, Mary Mcskill (25) and Collina Mcskill (22).[7]
Jane died in 1887

Patrick married, a second time, Olivia Albertina Hohenkerk on 16 NOV 1893, St. Andrew's Church, Demerara, British Guiana[8]
Occupation
Patrick was a West India Merchant in Demerana, British Guiana[9][10]
Death
Patrick died 20 Mar 1910 in Demerara, British Guiana[11]
