LETHBRIDGE, Jan 23 . --Fatally injured while horseback riding Sunday morning, Judge L. E. Fairbairn, 47, died in hospital here today.
He had not regained consciousness after the accident in which he was thrown from his horse and suffered a fracture of the base of the skull.
Judge Fairbairn was appointed to the Southern Alberta district court last April, succeeding Judge C. J. Ford of Calgary, who was then elevated to the trial division of the Alberta Supreme court.
