In 1871, Harriet [sic], widow, 71, Harriet, 28 and Susan Laurance, domestic, 28 were residing in Halifax.
In 1881, Mary, widow, 81, Harriet, 40 and Mary Mack, servant, 18 were residing in Halifax.
In 1891, Mary, widow, 91, Harriet, 50 and Mary Ross, servant, 64 were residing in Halifax. The census shows that Mary's father was born in the U.S.A.
Mary died 2 Apr 1896 in Halifax, aged 96 and is buried in Camp Hill Cemetery.
