The exact date of Mehitable's death is not known; however, according to "The Families of Old Fairfield," the inventory of Widow Mehitable, 23 March 1764, was sworn to by Hezekiah Treadwell, Administrator. "Early Fairchilds," states that Mehitable died 20 August 1776 at Bridgeport, Connecticut; however, this is the death date of Sally (Banks) Treadwell, the wife of Hezekiah Treadwell (the son of Hezekiah and Mehitable (Fairchild) Treadwell.
Her inventory was taken on 23 March 1764 in Stratford and recorded in Fairfield.[1]
