Obituary

LUFKIN, Texas, May 4.--Funeral services for State Senator I. D. Fairchild, who died in a Dallas hospital from injuries received in an automobile wreck April 17, were held at the First Baptist Church Thursday afternoon. The body lay in state for an hour.

The Rev. A. E. Maness, pastor of the Methodist Church; the Rev. Luther Anderson, Baptist pastor and life-long friend, and the Rev. W. T. Renfro, pastor of the Methodist Church at Nacogdoches, officiated at the church services. The Masons conducted the services at the cemetery at Ryan's Chapel.

J. A. Glenn of Beaumont, division superintendent for the Santa Fe Railway, delivered a eulogy.
