Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Billy M. King Funeral Home in Collins for William Earl "Sonny Boy" Fairchild, 91, of Seminary, who passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at his residence.
Brother Wayne Woolwine and Brother Brad Brownlee will officiate at the service with interment to follow in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary with military rites at graveside. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Twila Dickerson.
The family will receive guests from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, MS, 39428.
Mr. Fairchild was born on July 18, 1930, in Sumrall, Mississippi, to William Edward Fairchild and Lula Adeline Williams Fairchild. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was owner operator for Fairchild Trucking Company where he retired after fifty plus years of service. He was a member of New Fellowship Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward Fairchild and Lula Adeline Williams Fairchild; his wife, Johnnie Lois Sanford Fairchild; one son, Eddie Fairchild; two sisters, Harriett Bush and Ruby Nell Louis; and two brothers, Orville Fairchild and Robert Fairchild.
Survivors include his three daughters, Diane Roney (Robert Glen) of Ellisville, Janice Tisdale (Glenn) and Jill Williams (Toxie), both of Seminary; one brother, Stuart Fairchild of Warner Robins, Georgia; and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
