Biography

Birth

Samuel Fairchild was born on August 31, 1640 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut, son of Thomas Fairchild (~1610–1670) and Emme Seabrook (~1620–<1662).[1]He was the first white baby born at the settlement of Stratford, Connecticut.

Family

Samuel (39) married Mary Wheeler (24) (born on September 13, 1655 in Stratford, Connecticut Colony; daughter of Moses Wheeler Sr. and Miriam (Hawley) Wheeler) in 1680 in Stratford, Conn. Their children were:

Inheritance

On Dec. 30th, 1688, he received land as a gift from his Grandfather Seabrook.

Occupation

Samuel was a Ships Carpenter and was a member of the Congregational Church in Stratford.

Death

Samuel died on February 28, 1705 in Stratford, aged 64.[2]
