Biography

Henry Fairfax, the son of Mr Henry Fairfax younger of Bolton Percy, Esquire, was baptised on 24 April 1659 in All Saints' Church, Bolton Percy, Yorkshire (Ainsty), England.[1]

He inherited the estate of his mother, Frances Barwick.[2]

His father succeeded as the fourth Lord Fairfax of Cameron in 1671.

He was educated at Gray's Inn on 22 June 1678.[2]

He was a High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1691.[2]

Henry Fairfax (25) intended marriage place at Kippax Parish Church with Ann Harison (18), daughter and coheir of Richard Harrison, of South Cave.[3][2]

Henry Fairfax, Esquire and Anna Harrison joined by marriage on 27 September 1684 at St Mary's Church, Kippax, Yorkshire, England.[4][2]

They had an issue;

  8. John, bap. 23 Oct 1699 and bur. 5 Feb 1699/1700.
  9. Bryan, bap.21 Sep 1701, mar. Eleanor Sidgley, 14 Apr 1729, bur. 16 April 1734.

Henry Fairfax was buried on 29 August 1708 in St Martin in the Fields, Westminster, Middlesex, England.[5][2]

Henry Fairfax's estate passed probate on 28 September 1711. His last residence was Toulston Hall, Newton Kyme, Yorkshire, England.[6]
