Biography

Searching for Mary Jane FAIRWEATHER, born 1826, Dundee, Scotland. Survived a shipwreck en route to Canada off the Northern Cape Breton coast. That ship may have been the barque "Isabella" in 1842. She married Elbridge Foster in 1851 at Scugog Island Ontario. They had 11 children, including a set of twins and a set of triplets.

The FOSTERS came to Nance County from Scugug, Ontario, Canada in 1880: Elbridge FOSTER, b: 1828 in Vermont, d: 1902 in Genoa, Nance County, NB; in 1851 married Jane FAIRWEATHER, b: 1826 in Dundee, Scotland, d:1896. They are buried in Valley View Cemetry.
