Biography

Isabella (Fairweather) Black was born about 1815 in Cortachy, Angus. Her parents were Alexander Fairweather (~1780 - ) and Janet (Ramsay) Fairweather (~1776 - <1859).

In the 1881 Scotland Census, Isabella is said to be 66 years old. She is residing at Kirriemuir with her daughter Ann Black (33) and her granddaughter Isabella Milne (11). Isabella remains known as Fairweather.^[3]

In the 1891 Scotland Census, Isabella is said to be 75 years old. She is residing at 2 Kirk Close with her daughter Ann Black (43) and her granddaughter Isabella Milne (21). Isabella remains known as Fairweather.^[4]

Isabella died in 1891 in Kirriemuir, Angus aged ~76.
