James was born in 1844. He was the son of Charles Fairweather and Elizabeth Dunn. He passed away in 1922.
He married Ann Keith in 1874, Dyce, Aberdeen. After Ann Keith died in 1882 in Enzie, Banff, Scotland, he married Louisa Murray in 1886.
