Biography
John Falconar is mentioned several times in his brother's diary:
3rd February 1798: arrived my brother John
2nd January 1800: John my brother appointed fort adjutant of Poonamallee
Then
28th October 1804: my amiable brother john dept this life
4th November 1804: received the awful account of my ever to be lamented brothers death which happened at Bellary on 28 October
The Times , on 17th June 1805 had this entry:
On the 28th October last, at Belhary, in the East Indies, Captain-Lieutenant John Falconar, Fort-Adjutant of that place, endowed with all those qualities which most adorn human nature. His loss is deeply deplored by his family, and justly regretted by all who knew him.
