William Joseph Falconer was born the 13th of October, 1814 in South Carolina. William was the son of William Falconer and Ann Singleton.
William married Mary E. Wilder on the 7th of February 1836 in Montgomery county, Alabama.[1]
William died before 1850 in Montgomery County, Alabama.
The following notice appeared in The Weekly Advertiser in Montgomery, Alabama: "State of Alabama, Montgomery County, Special Court of Probate, September3,1855 - This Day came Joseph D. Hopper, Administrator of the estate of William J. Falconer, deceased, and filed his petition in writing, under oath, praying for an order of sale to sell a negro slave named Silas, for the purpose of making a distribution among the heirs at law of the said deceased. It is ordered, that the 24th day of October next,1855, be set for the hearing of this application. It is ordered by the court, that notice of this application be given by publication for three successive weeks in the Advertiser and State Gazette, a newspaper published in the county of Montgomery, notifying all persons interested to be and appear before a court to be held on the 24th day of October next, to show cause why said slave should not be ordered to be sold; and ordered, that said petition be filed. H.W. Watson, Judge."[2]
