Biography

SAMUEL FALES 1784-1788

Samuel Fales was born on the 8th of September 1784 in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts the son of Peter III Fales 1732-1826 and his wife, Aves Bicknell 1747-1822.

Children of Peter Fales, III and Aves BICKNELL:

  • (1) Turpin Fales 1764–1776 TWIN - Drowned
  • (2) Allen Fales 1764–1770 TWIN - Killed by Load of Hay falling on him
  • (3) Olive Fales Miller 1766–1834
  • (4) John Fales 1768–1847

  • (10) Turner Fales 1787–Died Young

These early years were hard to live through with the loss of family and the Revolutionary War. Peter and Aves Fales lives were full of grief as 4 of their 10 children died. Turpin and Allen Fales were TWINS and both met unfortunate deaths six years apart. Little TWIN Allen Fales was only 5 years old when a Wagon full of Hay fell on him. Then, six years later, TWIN Turpin Fales was only 12 years old when he drowned in the Ohio River. Another twelve years later, Samuel, age 4 dies and then three years later, Turner Fales died at a young age. Peter appeared in the Providence Rhode Island Military Census in 1777.

Samuel Fales, age 4 died on the 19th of March 1788 and was buried at the Peck Cemetery located in Cumberland, Providence County, Rhode Island. I am still searching for the cause of death of little Samuel Fales. Bio and research by 5th Great Niece, Carole Anne Brown-44556 Whittemore on the 11th of August 2017.
