Biography

On 4 Jan 1937, Jack A. Falk (age 22, born in MI) married Madeline Randolph (age 23, born in MI). Jack's parents were Emil Falk and Carrie Casement; Madeline's parents were Byron Randolph and Sadie Merritt. [1]

On 28 Sep 1991, Jack August Falk died at age 76 in Traverse City. Jack A. Falk's obituary was published in 1991:

    Jack A. Falk died Sept. 28, 1991. TRAVERSE CITY -- Jack August Falk, 76, a retired businessman, died Saturday at home. He was a department manager for the Industrial Mutual Association of Flint, retiring in 1975. A Traverse City resident since 1987, he held memberships with the Central United Methodist Church, the Duplicate Bridge Club of Traverse City, the Kiwanis, Elks, and Industrial Executive Clubs of Flint. Mr. Falk was a veteran of World War II. The son of Emil William and Carrie Mary (Casement) Falk, he was born April 22, 1915, in Fenton. On Jan. 4, 1937, in Angola, Ind., he married Madeline Eloise Randolph, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Melinda Falk-Vanderford; a son-in-law, Steven Vanderford; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Falk of Traverse City; five grandchildren, Jason and Kristen Vanderford; and Noah, Hannah and Samuel Falk, all of Traverse City; and a brother, Max Falk of Flint. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack A. Falk, in 1979; a brother, Emil Falk Jr.; and two sisters, Lillian and Margaret Falk. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dean Bailey will officiate. Friends may call at the Hibbard-Ruggles Funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to Central United Methodist Church or the Munson Medical Center Oncology Unit, both in Traverse City. [2]
