Biography
Delilah Catherine "Bird" Falls was born in Greene County, Tennessee on 8 April 1865 [1] to James Falls and Sarah Holland.[2]
On 2 July 1881 Delilah married James L. Brown in Greene County, TN.[3] She and James had ten known children. The two oldest were born in Greene County, TN,[4] and the other eight were born in Independence County, Arkansas after Delilah's family moved there. Delilah and James' children were:
- Mary Jennie (Brown) Dobson (1884-1974)
- John Madison Brown (1886-1954)
- Annie (Brown) Benton (1889-1971)
- Mattie Pearl (Brown) Scott (1891-1990)
- Flora Bell (Brown) Dodd (1895-1976)
- William M. Brown (1897-1982)
- Sarah Irene (Brown) White (1900-1984)
- Clarence Earl Brown (1903-1962)
- Floy Opal (Brown) Searcy (1906-1937)
- Claud Denison Brown (1911-1962)
Delilah died on 24 Jan 1945 in Cushman, Independence County, AR and was buried at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman. [5]
