Biography

Frederick was born in 1788. Frederick Fanning ... [1] According to records of Hastings land transactions, Frederick Fanning purchased part of lots 21 + 22 in Sidney in October 1823.

He filed a settler petition for Wolfe Island in 1817 (search here for "Fanning"): http://www.ontariogenealogy.com/uppercanadasundries.html
