Raybon Saphronia Fanning was born on June 22, 1899 in Larkin Township, Jackson County, Alabama.[1] Her father was Parks Alonzo Fanning and her mother Sarah Catherine Jacks.

Before she was eleven years old, her family moved to Wells Township, Madison County, Alabama on Mountain Fork Road.[2]

Raybon married Ernest Waldon Honea on November 12, 1916 in Madison County, Alabama.[3] After their marriage, they settled in Sulphur Springs Township, Madison County, Alabama. Her first daughter was born Mabel Louise in 1918. [4] In 1920, her second child Lawrence Waldon was born, Ernest Waldon in 1923, Ruby Evelyn in 1926, and James Stephen in 1927.[5]

They continued to live in Sulphur Springs on Sander Road, where Eva was born in 1930, Agnes in 1932, Clifton Wayne in 1934, Clenton Glen in 1936, and Jerry Winfred in 1939.[6]

Sometime before her death, she moved to Huntland Township, Franklin County, Tennessee, where she died of acute coronary occlusion on August 7, 1966.[7] She was buried at Taylor Cemetery in New Market Township, Madison County, Alabama.[8]
