Clara was born in 1876. She was the daughter of Thomas Farber and Electa Abbott.
She married George Dalbaert Mabie (1875–1943). They had the following children:
Floyd Lyle Mabie 1898–1964
Thelma Evangeline Mabie 1899–1966
Leona Electa "Leonie" Mabie 1900–1988
She passed away in 1919. Buried: Hauser Cemetery, Whitten, Hardin County, Iowa.
