There are two different markers on two different graves in two different cemeteries. A military style headstone was placed by some descendants in the Nelson Farley Cemetery on Shockley Hill in Pipestem, and this large monument was erected by the Pipestem Ruritan Club and stands in the Drewry Farley Cemetery behind the house on Grape Knob Lane near the junction of Broadway Road and Gravely Point Road in Pipestem, WV. Many years ago this community was called Farley, WV.

He served with Daniel Boone in the Hugh Caperton Company in Frontier Militia at the present site of Charleston in 1793. Born 1760, Bedford County, VA, died 1851.
