Josephine was the fourth of eight children in the family of Isaac and Mary Ann Nolan Farley. She was likely born in Rock Creek precinct in Otoe County, where her family settled in 1869.[1]The family moved to a farm in section 19 of Rock Creek about 1882, and were still there in 1885.[2][3]
Josephine died about a month before her 20th birthday and is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Paul, Nebraska.[4][5]
