Jacob Richmond married Jane, daughter of Andrew and Susanna Farley, in 1800, and died in Ohio (now Marshall) County, Meade Township, (West) Virginia (near the state line at Majorsville, Pennsylvania) about 1809 (Salem Methodist Cemetery in Washington County, West Filney Township, Pennsylvania on the Majorsville Road (no stone)). Jane was baptized in Hampshire (now Mineral County, Fort Ashby, (West) Virginia on November 12, 1777, and died in Noble County, Brookfield Township, Ohio between 1820 and 1830.
Jacob served in Captain James Armstrong’s 3rd Regiment from Washington County in 1797. Andrew Farley Sr. deeded Jacob and Jane 37 acres in Washington County, West Finley Township, Pennsylvania (along the state line) on September 13, 1805 (Andrew was warranted this land on January 18, 1803). On May 30, 1808, Jacob and Jane Richmond of Ohio County, Virginia deeded their 37 acres in West Finley Township to Abraham Richmond (witnessed by Samuel England and James Elliot, and recorded April 28, 1809).
