George Alfred was born in 1880 in Brome, Quebec. He was the son of Ezra Farmer and Phila Joyal, both of Brome. George was residing in Brome during the 1881 census. He immigrated to to the USA through Vermont in 1906 and in 1907, was made a naturalized citizen in Hartford, Connecticut. In the 1910 US census, George was living in Hartford with his wife, Nilla Farmer (b.1877) and his one-year old son, George. George Alfred died in Brome in 1937.
