Biography

Sinous Darius Farmer was born on 16 Dec 1833 in Henry, Alabama, United States, son of George Farmer (1806 - <1860) and Mary Ann (Webb) Farmer (~1813 - ).

His brother was Samuel A. Farmer (~1830 - 1864).

Sinous married Martha Gamble (1840 - ~1922) on 13 Nov 1856 in Henry Co., AL. [1]

Enlisted Mar 30, 1862, at Henry County, Alabama into Company E, 25th Regiment, Georgia Infantry known as "Irwin's Invincibles." [2][3]
The Battle of Nashville took place Dec 15-16, 1864 so Sinous Farmer was like to have been captured a year earlier than stated in other reports. He was imprisoned at Camp Chase, Ohio until his parole June 10, 1865. The regiment surrendered Apr 26, 1865 at Bennett's House in Durham Station, North Carolina. [4][5]
