In July of 1860 they had three boys, Daniel 6, James H. 3, and John W. 4 months. The Millburgh Post Office was established October 4, 1850. He was to be inducted into Company G, Third Regiment, of the First South Carolina Reserves. He never reported. November 2, 1863 Jasper Farmer was enlisted into Company B, Twenty-seventh Regiment South Carolina Infantry at Charleston. The Union Army captured him near Town Creek, Maryland February 20, 1865.
