Charles Edward Farmer was christened in Frittenden, Kent on 13 April 1845[1]. He was the son of Charles Farmer and Catherine Morris.
At the time of the 1861 England and Wales Census, John, Hetty (presumably "Kitty" or Catherine), John J, Martha, George F, Margaret F, Daniel, and Mary Mills were listed as living in Shadoxhurst, along with Charles and Rebeca Farmer[2].
