David Farmer's death date was listed on a document War of 1812 a claim of widow for pension, under the Provisions of Sections 4736 to 4740 submitted on May 17 1879 by his wife, Catherine Edwards Farmer in the State of Virginia. They were married November 1813 in Ashe Co., NC by John McMillan.

David enlisted in the military for 2 years. War of 1812 he enlisted Aug 7 1814 - Virginia Military Discharge: He served as a lieutenant in Captain Trumbell regiment of Virginia militia. 9 Feb 1815 - Virginia

Catherine Edwards Farmer's Will and testament was proven in open court by the oath of J.A. Finley one of the subscribing witnesses thereto. Virginia Grayson County court, January 2, 1894. I have not been able to find her exact death date, but it had to be some time before the Will was presented in court.
