Born on the 19 November 1851, in St Botolph Without Aldgate, Catherine Emily Farguhar was the daughter of William Farquhar and Hannah Sarah Baly[1]
In 1881, according to the Census[2], she was 28 and a teacher of music, living at 11 Tasman Road, Stockwell with her widowed mother, Hannah, and three siblings;

William Farquhar 33,
Annie Farquhar 30,
Catherine Farquhar 28,
John Henry Farquhar 26.
She died in 1935.
