John was born in 1735 to Alexander Farquharson and Jean Monteith in Scotland.[1] He married Isabella Mclean in 1759 at Blair Atholl. [2] They immigrated to Nova Scotia. He died in 1812 at Halifax and was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery at age 78.[3]
Inscription on tombstone: Sacred to the memory of John Farquharson who died on the 11 of June 1812 in the 78th year of his age.
