When Joseph Farr was born on August 30, 1743, in Acton, Massachusetts, his father, Joseph, was 25 and his mother, Dinah, was 20. He married Sarah Susannah in 1763. They had 13 children in 21 years. He died on February 24, 1796, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, at the age of 52, and was buried in Berkshire, Massachusetts.
