Mary Jane (Farr) Hamilton was born in Ireland.

Mary Jane was baptized 28 Dec 1843 at Arboe parish church, County Tyrone. She was the daughter of William Farr and Jane of Gortnagwyg. [1]

As of 1867 she lived at Stewartstown.

On 1 Sep 1867 at Donaghenry Church of Ireland, she married John Hamilton, labourer, of Gortigal, Arboe, son of Thomas Hamilton, labourer. [2]

They had moved to Oghill, Ballyclog by 1901.

She passed away 25 Sep 1927 age 83 and was interred in Artrea Churchyard. [3] [4]

Research Notes

The Hamiltons show up in many cases in records associated with the siblings given here, so it seems certain that the parents are correct.

Her husband seems to be the sibling of Jane (Hamilton) Farr (abt.1846-1921).

Children from civil registration: William (30 Aug 1869), Anne(18 Jul 1873), Martha (21 Jun 1875), Sarah(31 May 1871), unnamed (1 Dec 1876), Martha (16 Jul 1880).
