Biography
Margaret Edith Farrar was born 12 October 1905 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of James Arnold Farrar and Elizabeth C. Lowe.[1]
Note: Her obituary (see below) indicates she was the daughter of Elizabeth and William Marrs, suggesting that her mother married second William Marrs who may have adopted her. But her birth certificate clearly identifies her father as James Arnold Farrar.
She is enumerated with her parents and two sisters in Contra Costa County, California in 1910.[2] after which time we cannot find her in the census records.
Her parents divorced between 1910 and 1920.
She married in 1925, probably in Seattle, Washington, Andrew Crawford. Their only daughter was born in 1927, and in 1929 they moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, but returned to Seattle in 1955. She and her husband retired in 1969 and moved to Walla Walla to live near their daughter and grandchildren. Andrew died in 1981.[3]
She died 6 January 2014[4] at the Washington Odd Fellows Home. She was buried at Waitsburg City Cemetery.[5]
