Biography

Mary Ann Farrar was born September 27, 1826 in Albemarle County, Virginia, United States. she was the daughter of John B. Farrar (1799-1879) and Martha Patterson Norvel Farrar (1804-1885). On November 29, 1849 in Putnam County, Virginia, she married William Shank, son of Adam Shank and Nancy Agnes Smiley. She passed away October 3, 1904 at Point Pleasant, Mason County, West Virginia.
