Your grandmother Marie Isabella Farrell (née Thomsett) and my Grandfather Harold Roy Thomsett were first cousins.

I remember meeting Bella and Mary many times. In Grafton where we lived and whenever we visited Ferny Grove & surrounds. My pop was 10 when “the twins” were born.

Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Good morning, Team Australia! The Source-a-Thon is almost upon us!

If you haven't yet checked the team thread in the G2G forum, please do so, as there are now official instructions for the event.

In brief:

1. Use your answer post to record your Source-a-Thon count.

2. Number your contributions, so we can easily determine how many profiles the entire team has sourced.

And, most importantly, do the best you can and have fun!

Source-a-Thon starts at 2pm on the east coast, 1.30pm in the centre, and 12 noon in the west. For those joining us in NZ, I believe it will be 5pm for you.

Thanks for joining us and happy sourcing!

Vicky

Here is the link to the Australian team. Post a message at this conversation link and let them know your race number which is 538.

Thanks for joining WikiTree, and for preserving and continuing your family history. We hope you will like our collaborative genealogy community. You now have full access to all the features of WikiTree.

Having trouble starting your tree ? Start with what you know. You can begin by adding family members. Extra tips are at How to use WikiTree.

We do emphasize Sources at WikiTree as well as dates and locations as you build your family tree here. Stuck on how to do it here ? Ask at G2G. which is a community forum for genealogists.

Happy WikiTreeing...Maggie

Welcome to WikiTree as a guest ~

You are not a full member of WikiTree until you read the initial email from WikiTree which has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree. Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big, collaborative tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

After you have confirmed your e-mail address, you may wish to add YOUR family branches by becoming a Volunteer. If so, please indicate your genealogy interests by filling in TAGs for surnames you want to research, like WILSON for a surname or a location, like SWEDEN. Make sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button and a Greeter will follow-up in confirming your membership.

Have a great day ! Maggie

Hi Chad

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

Are you, like myself, interested in how your family fits into the big tree? Do you have research you’d like to share? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer (To add your OWN family information), then one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

When site is busy please be patient waiting for Greeter

NOTE- adding Info is limited until you Volunteer and become a FULL member.

Welcome to the family! Glad you joined.

Greeter – Derek (Northern Ireland)
