Information which was imported from Ancestry was incorrect. With a little research, the name for this Faulkenberry has been changed to what is found in census records as well as military records for this individual.
Elihu Faulkenberry was born, according to census records for Arkansas, to Jacob and Jane Faulkenberry in Tennessee about 1842.
Service During the Civil War:
According to military records found in Fold3, Elihu Faulkenberry was first enlisted in Company G, 1st Arkansas Volunteers. The approximate date seems to be 1861 which also is listed as his death date by many Ancestry trees (which show no proof).
ALSO found in the military records is an enlistment by Elihu Faulkenberry for the UNION Army dated 1 August 1862 in MISSOURI. He gives his age as twenty (correct age), place of birth as Tennessee (also correct) and is described by the company surgeon as having Hazel eyes, light hair and light complexion and his height is given as 5'10". He claims no wife or children and his "guardian" is given as John Ivy.
