Thomas Faulkner was born about 1801. He was the son of Thomas Faulkner and Frances Gamble. Thomas was baptised on 3rd February 1801 in St Lukes, Chelsea, Middlesex. [1]
Thomas' mother passed away in 1820.
In 1841, Thomas was living with his father and two sisters at 1 Paradise Row, Chelsea, Middlesex. He was employed as a book binder, most likely for his father's business. [2]
In 1851, Thomas was 50-years-old and unmarried. He was living with his father and two sisters at 27 Smith Street in Chelsea, Middlesex. He was a bookseller. His father was a well-regarded historian for the Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham area of Middlesex. Also in the household were eleven students between the ages of 5-12 , suggesting that the home also doubled as a private school since Thomas' sisters were teachers. [3]
