FAULKNER A very old resident of the Te Puna district in the person of Mr Joseph Faulkner died at noon today at Te Puna. Deceased was the eldest son of the late Mr J Faulkner, who was a well known trader in these parts before the days of the Maori war and conducted a store at Otumoetai ... Deceased was twice married and is survived by three sons and eight daughters, all of whom are married and residing in the Tauranga district. The surviving sons are Messrs Frederick, Charles and Joseph Faulkner. The only surviving brother of the deceased is Captain Chris Faulkner, of the steamer Tasman. The brothers who predeceased him were Messrs Jarvis and Alfred Faulkner, while the late Mr J D Faulkner was a step-brother. Mrs Ferguson and Mrs Rawiri of Matapihi are daughters of the deceased. The interment will take place at Te Puna.
