Biography

Howard L. Faw, 57, died Wednesday evening in Big Timber. He was born September 23. 1920, in Big Timber, Montana, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Faw. He attended schools in Billings and then worked on ranches in the Hardin area. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. After the war he returned to the Billings area and worked for the State Highway Department. In 1948 he came to Big Timber and had worked on various ranches since that time. Mr. Faw was a member of Sweet Grass American Legion Post #19 and The Loyal Order of Moose.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clifford. Survivors are a brother, Lawrence Faw of San Diego, Calif.; and two sisters, Frances Dalebout, his twin sister of El Sobrante, Calif., and Lee Reilley of Stockton, Calif.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowry Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Nilsen of the Big Timber Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.

Casket Bearers were John Deegan. Tope Strobel. Chuck Harper. Bob Harper, Roger Faw and Bud Clayton.
