Biography

From Genealogical and Personal History of Western Pennsylvania:

Christopher Columbus, lives on the homestead at the age of seventy-seven years ; was a dealer in queensware in Pittsburgh, and a soldier during the Civil War.

From Memoirs of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania:

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS FAWCETT, of McKeesport, Pa., a prominent citizen, was born in the borough of Birmingham, now Pittsburg, Pa., in 1837, a son of the late William Fawcett and his wife, Margaret.

He was married, on Nov. 28, 1865, to Sarah E. Milliken, of McKeesport, and to them were born six children: William L. ; Lula Belle, wife of George A. Kutcker; Annie R., wife of J. J. Boax; Mary Edna; Frank M., and Unwena M.
