Biography

Rachael was born in 1752. She was the daughter of John Fawcett and Rebecca Ireson. She passed away before 1816.

Research Notes

"George Redd of the County of Barkly and Colony of Virginia, Son of Adam Redd (and Meriam his wife decas'd) of Christiana Hundred, New Castle County, Pennsylvania [Del.?], and Rachel Fawcett, Daughter of John and Rebeckah Fawcett of the County of Frederick and Colony aforesaid; 15th day of 11th month, 1781; at Mount Pleasant." (Joint Committee of Hopewell Friends, Hopewell Friends History, 1734-1934, Frederick County, Virginia (Strasburg, Virginia: Shenandoah Publishing House, Inc., 1936), p. 275.) Note: Both George and Rachel signed the marriage certificate.[1]

Rachel was born in 1752. She passed away about 1816.
