Orville Fay was born on May 27, 1874 in Great Valley, Cattaraugus, New York to Adrian Fay and Sarah Flint. [1]
From birth to adulthood, Orville lived with his parents and siblings in Great Valley where his father was a farmer. [2][3]
Orville was a boarder in the household of Burleigh Fellows, his brother-in-law married to his sister, Hollis, in Dunkirk, Chautauqua, New York in 1900. Orville and Burleigh were in business together as bicycle dealers.[4]
Orville was married to Edna Estelle Wilkins in about 1906. They were residents of Dunkirk in 1910. He was a machinist who owned his own shop. [5]
Orville registered for the United States World War I draft on September 12, 1918 in Elk County, Pennsylvania. He and Edna were residents of Ridgway in Elk County. He listed his occupation as a chauffeur. He was 44 years old, and of medium height and build with gray eyes and dark hair/bald.[6]
Orville died November 26, 1923 at the age of 49 in Warren, Warren, Pennsylvania and was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, Cattaraugus, New York. [7]
