Jonathan was born in 1886, the son of James Walker Fay (1858-1937) and Nuella (Uhlich) Fay (1862-1917). He died in 1957.

May 1860 in OH, married 19 years, 5 children all living, both parents b. PA), daughter Sue E. Fay (b. Aug 1883 in OH, both parents b. OH), son John C. Fay (b. Jun 1886 in OH, both parents b. OH), son Arthur R. Fay (b. Jun 1887 in OH, both parents b. OH), son John C. Fay (b. Jun 1886 in OH, both parents b. OH), son Lester R. Fay (b. Mar 1892 in OH, both parents b. OH).
