Biography
Ernest F. Fearn
Norfolk - ETMC Ernest F. Fearn, USN Retired, 89, of Norfolk, VA, passed away on September 19, 2014. Ernest was born in Niagara Falls, NY, in 1925. He graduated from LaSalle Jr/Sr High School and joined the US Navy and continued to serve his country for 38 years, serving in Florida, California, Maryland, Japan, Italy, and numerous other places. He retired in 1980 in Norfolk, VA. Ernest was married to Donna Waite in 1946; they were married 63 years. They will be laid to rest together at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.He was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. He was also actively involved in the US Navy Fleet Reserve, the VFW and TOPS.
Ernest is survived by his children, Gaye (Patrick) Paquet, Rincon, GA, Jacklyn Fearn, Lawrenceville, PA, Robin Carrillo, Fremont, CA and Earl Fearn, Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Joy (Robert) Condon, Wasilla, AK, Audra (Burr) Ciprich, Oklahoma City, OK, Gene Vaughan, Anchorage, AK, Kristi (Jon) Gleason, Lawrenceville, PA, Jacob and Kelly Fearn, Modesto, CA, and Joviana and Lauren Carrillo, Fremont, CA; seven great-grandchildren; a brother William (Joann) Fearn, North Tonawanda, NY, many nieces and nephews, and special friends, George and Judy Wessell..He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Carol Fearn, son Bruce Fearn, brother George Fearn, and parents, Ernest and Doris Fearn.
