Why is this person named "Charles Henry" thus leaving two siblings with the same name? The husband of Elizabeth Marshall is only named "Henry Featherston" on the genealogical work "Descendants of Charles Featherston". Children of Henry Featherston and Elizabeth Marshall in that work were: 1. Charles m. Lucy Pitts; 2. Henry m. Nancy Marshall; 3. Sarah m. Thomas Hardie; 4. William; 5. Alexander; 6. Elizabeth m. John Cogbill; 7. Edward m. Mary Hibbett; 8. Mary Ann m. Charles Christian Cogbill; 9. Phebe m. Marquis DeLafayette Sharp.

Charles Henry likely died at his home, Mason's Corner, Amelia, Co, Va. Much of the info on Charles H Featherston is confused as there were two lines in the Henrico/Amelia area at the same time and there were 2 Charles H about the same time. In addition, there was a Henry. Charles Henry (not Howell) born 1843 lived very near Flatt Creek and very near Anne Featherston Burton, known wife of Abraham Burton. This suggests that Charles H. B1743 was her nephew and of her line. Samuel Burton, per Revolutionary pension records died in 1841 while residing at the Charles H (d2apr1828) homeplace. This further establishes a very likely familial connection to the Ann Featherston Burton line. SEE:
