DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Polly by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Polly:

Say, you know what? I was looking at the ancestors here on Wikitree and I am not sure I even want to connect. I see a huge number of connections I do not believe, and some connections not at all. I am quickly losing any faith. Here is my line:

3rd-GGP: Mary Ann Featherston 1786-1869 m. Charles Christian Cogbill 1784-1869, 4th-GGP: Henry Featherston 1743-1828 m. Elizabeth Marshal 1753-1815 (Coincidentally, his brother, evidently a twin by FAG b. dates, was Charles Henry Featherson, with the same death year as well, but he died in Amelia County VA, not Smith County TN. 5th-GGP: Charles Henry Featherston 1716-1778 m. Phoebe Walthall 1720-1760. 6th-GGP: Henry Charles Featherstone 1681-1759 m. (2) Elizabeth Bowman 1686-1759. 7th-GGP: Charles Featherstone 1637-1682 m. Rebecca Stratton 1656-1726. Should I continue with Fetherston of London? My line aligns quite well with the genealogy work Descendants of Charles Featherstone, FAG, and The Heradic Visitation of London.

The parents of Polly Featherston-Cogbill are not by any means unknown. They were Henry Featherston and Elizabeth Marshall. I would post them with references except this page will not let me.

Charles Christian Cogbill and Mary "Polly" Featherston were married in Chesterfield County, Virginia. For some reason "marriage" isn't showing.
