Biography

Gerald was born in Ottawa in 1930. He was the son of Albert Featherstone and Caroline Arnold.

Gerald passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre on December 6th, 2012 at the age of 82. Loving husband for almost 63 years to Beverley (nee Leafloor). Beloved father of Judy Backs (Herve), Bruce (Sheryl) of B.C., and Gerald Jr. Proud grandfather of Carrie Cregan (Chris), Stefan Backs (Patti) and great-grandfather of Hannah and Heidi Backs and Owen Cregan. Son of the late Albert and Caroline Featherstone. Brother of Shirley Tumilson (Dave), Mel (Rita) and the late Bruce (Lynette). The family wishes to thank the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre for their loving care and compassion. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Walkley Chapel on Tuesday, December 11th after 10 a.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Flowers graciously accepted as well as donations to the Elisabeth Bruyère Health Centre.^[1]
