George was baptised on February 16, 1806 at St Mary's in Ticehurst, Sussex, England. He was the son of William and Ann Featherstone.
On June 4, 1829 in Cranbrook, Kent, there was a Bastardy Order against George Featherstone, baker, of Tunbridge Wells, with Charlotte Cramp giving birth to a female child (named Catharine Featherstone Cramp) on April 20, 1829.[1]
He married Sarah Damper on February 23, 1830 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.[2][3]
