(Courtesy of Findagrave) "Nicholas Fedirko was born on May 8, 1889 (according to his death certificate.) His parents are listed as John & Nastia (Nahirny) Fedirko of Galicia, Austria. Nicholas immigrated to the US through Ellis Island. His name was spelled Mikolaj Fedirko on the passenger manifest. He arrived on April 5, 1911. Ship of travel: Kronprinz Wilhelm. Port of departure: Bremen, Germany. He was 21 years old. He married Eva Pisiechko on May 3, 1913 in St. Cyril's Church, Olyphant, Pa. The couple settled at 216 Cherry St., Winton/Jessup, Pa. They had 6 children that are known of: William born 1914, Mary born 1917, Michael born 1918, Anna born 1920, Olga born 1925 & Nicholas Jr. born 1930. It is believed that he had a brother, Wasil Federko born 1887 & died 1980. His wife was Anastasia 'Nellie' Pisiechko, who is believed to be a sister to his wife, Eva, since both have the same parents. She is also believed to be another niece to brothers Harry & Wasil Pisiechko. Wasil & Nellie are buried at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Blakely, Pa. Nicholas passed away on December 7, 1942. Burial at St. Cyril's Cemetery, Peckville, Pa."
